Hey i need to stream aduio. I dont care which way to do it. I would like to use Flash MX but im fine with using a separate website that hosts music files. All of the music is original. I would like the website veiwer to just click on a song and hear it. I dont want to use WMP though because i want macs to hear too.

Hi,

You can check out Shoutcast (http://www.shoutcast.com/) or Icecast (http://www.icecast.org/).

Here is a tutorial for streaming audio with the above:
http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/00/45/index3a.html?tw=multimedia

Also - check out Simplecast here:
http://www.spacialaudio.com/

And RealNetworks here:
http://www.realnetworks.com/

Our company has used VideoDome (http://www.videodome.com/) in the past for professional services with a custom player - they also do audio despite the name... it's not cheap tho. ;)

Also - do a search on google for "Streaming Audio" for more options.

simplecast seems weird. do i have to play the audio file each time, or can i store it.

TheScore I would use Flash MX and use it's MP3 import feature. than just set the audio to "streaming" instead of "event", "start" or "stop" so the sound will play as it is being downloaded. on your webpage make the flash file invisible so they can hear the sound but not see it...unless you want to create a spiffy flash interface also. flashkitcom can help you learn how, use their forum or browse their tutorials

hey why dont you use ADOBE AUDITION
it is quite good and you can do much more than tat .

yes, blind arrow i would like to stream audio using a flash interface and meadia control buttons
