creating gif banner

how do i create a gif banner for my website...

i want it to redirest to some other website...

how do i do it

what programme whould i use???

To make a banner use adobe photoshop. If you want to animate it, make few banner variations, and then put it in adobe imageready and animate it, then save it as a gif file.

This is the html code to use and redirect an image/banner.

Get one of these programs
Paint Shop Pro(PSP)
Adobe Photoshop(PS)
Ulead PhotoImpact(PI) - another great, though less-known graphics program
The Gimp - free image editor

pick one and download it or the trial, then google for tutorials for that program. there will be many.
