can I remove background image or add a background image in video editing??

Another thing...can I remove background image or add a background image in video editing?? like when editing an image in photoshop or any other program...you can remove the background and/or add an image of your own...Is that possible if i shoot a video having a black background (or green as they do in movies ) can I add an image of my own to the background?
If yes, what programs can do that? (and how??) Is that possible using Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere Pro?

Yes, this is possible to do using Adobe Premiere Pro.
I personally havent gone Pro on this program but I got a friend
that is pretty good on this. She tought me how to do it once
but forgot now. I think it was with Adobe Premiere Elements though. I could check up on her and post later if you want.

for the best possible effect, the background needs to be a evenly lit blue or green background. After that you need to do key (greenscreen chroma key) the green and it should turn all of the green in the video into a transparent layer


just take that video track and overlay it on anything you want now.
