Its hard to tell you the best camera right now since this is the time of the year that the new generation of cameras will come.

During the show in March, camera manufacturers may introduce close to 100 new products to show.

Uh huh. PMA!

I'm really hoping to see a D3x, and to see if Nikon is going to go full-frame.

Seriously though, for your budget, PMA won't mean jack. Just go to a camera store (not best buy) and feel them out. Buy whichever one makes most sense to you.

If you're too lazy to do that, than just buy a Canon A520/540/610/620 (that's my biased opinion).

You won't see a D3X until they release a D3H. The D3X should be released 6 to 12 months after the D3H.

Most newer cameras will be in the $180-300 price range this year since that is where most people's budgets fall into. One Pound is almost worth $2 US. (of course the UK usually gets ripped off)

Probably. I'm really hoping that the D3H would actually be able to compete with the 1D mark III though. The D2H doesn't really compete well with the 1D mark II beucase the 1D has double the MP and shoots 1/2 a frame quicker.

The 1D mark III though is insane. It's a 10MP 10fps crazy mofo.
