I am looking into getting a good camcorder for filming my own short films, etc.
I have an estimated budget of about $500-$1000 (Canadian). I essentially will need a format that is good for video editing on a PC. When I was last considering getting a camcorder I was told a Mini DV was the best way to go, however I have no idea anymore.
One thing I definitely will need is the ability to film in 16:9 aspect ratio.
Any suggestions, advice, recommendations, etc. would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
