Space bar scrolling... uhhg

Not sure what to think here, ive done some research and it seems this is a deliberate function. By pressing the space bar in safari the page scrolls down. Well you see my problem is that it does so even when typing in a text box...? What are your thoughts? is it as easy as command + ______ ? or is there a bigger problem?

I did a quick google on this and all I could find was people with the same problem but no solution. I don't suppose Safari has somewhere in the options that you can remap key commands? Then you could just move the problem to something less often used.

Thats a bug for sure.... All browser and even pdf files do this.

I wonder if its a html5 thing.

It's like firefox for me.

Alt-S in IE9 and Chrome on most forums and hotmail, submit the thread. While FIREfOX it's to open the history tab.

Always screws me up.
