Please help! My Mac right now is totally useless!
I'm quite new to my Mac. I've been using my system which I bought new for nearly 2 years now. I used to be a PC user but have made the switch so I've been using my extensive PC knowledge to try and switch my hard drive.
I'm trying to move from a 500gb to a 1tb hard drive which I though would be simple. I've hooked up the new drive and tried to install Snow Leopard 10.6.3 which I bought on disc from Apple but whenever I boot the system and select to boot up to the install CD, the system just hangs at the Grey Apple logo and even after leaving it for an hour, nothing happens.
I've tested the HD and it's fine. I even tried booting the install CD from a bootable USB HD but no luck.
