I am probably in WAY over my head by posting here as I am not the least bit computer savvy but I figure maybe someone can help me.
I have a Powerbook G4 and months ago my screen went out but, no problem, I hooked it up to my TV and kept right on working. Booted up one morning and the admin password that I had used for forever no longer works. I don't remember changing it...in fact I'm pretty sure I didn't. So, I thought I'd use the install disc to reset my password but when I use it, nothing shows on the TV so I can't reset the password. Is this a lost cause or is there some other way to reset my password? I took it to Apple but they wanted to charge me $1200 to repair the screen...I'm a starving musician. My whole CD project is on that laptop...2 years of work. I hope someone can help me out.
