I was wondering if its possible to partition an ipod, and install the software again. Would this let me create two seperate libraries on the same ipod? obviously running one at a time... Anyone ever try this?
You should be able to format the iPod and put on the firmware. What he is saying is that it doesnt support partitions and multiple installs of the firmeware. Which is what you asked in the OP.
The iPod firmware can always be restored. What I'm saying is the iPod firmware would not be able to support two partitions, therefore two libraries on the iPod.
No the firmware can only support 1 partition as the playlist, while it is possible to partition a ipod's hard drive you can only have one with a playlist on it.
