"other" space on ipod taken up, but nothing in when i directly open ipod

hey guys

trying to put some movies on my friends ipod and put them directly under the icon on my desktop and nothing shows up. but in itunes it said that there is a gb and a half taken up ?

If you're trying to copy the movies to his iPod via the icon on the desktop and not via iTunes, then yes, it WILL show up as "other" data taken up. You have to export the movies to the iPod via iTunes, period.

yeah this i understand

but i did drag the moive directly to the icon on my desktop and it shows there is nothing on it. but in itunes it says taht there is a gb and a half taken up. but nothing is in the ipod. ?
