I may be getting a Powerbook G3 "Lombard" soon and I was wondering how well does it perform under OSX? I have a Tiger DVD and i wanted to try it out. Any opinions? Also I have some old pc100 SODIMMs laying around will they work with it? if so i would like to upgrade its ram to 512megs.

RAM: 64 MB of 3.3V unbuffered low-power 144-pin 100 MHz 10ns SO-DIMM, expandable to 512 MB using low profile, low density DIMMs (16 memory chips on the card) in both slots; high density DIMMs (8 RAM chips) will only be recognized at half their capacity.
I hope that answers your question.

Yes, you can install Tiger on your Lombard, however, it is not officially supported by Apple, so you'd have to use a third-party utility like XPostFacto, which I DO NOT recommend. I'd just stick to Panther.

Good luck!
