Again, aside from the fact that people use it for different things, the hardware that the OS thinks it's using in Parallels, or VMware is not the same as the hardware in your computer. The only thing the same is the CPU.
 
Okay. General's right. My apologies.

The difference between emulation and virtualization refers to the CPU only. Which is a very significant advantage, but all the same...

Nope. Discussed with a (very knowledgable) friend who's just got a MacBook Pro and was testing out Parallels.

You were completely right, I apologize for arguing something I didn't have recent experience with. I'm one of the extremely rare people on internet forums who will actually admit to being wrong in an argument.

don't see that in the southern plains of america
