My ipod nano fried somehow?

My ipod was working thewhole day i drained it to the point when it does not turn on.When i pluged it in my computer it gives me the battery sign that mean it does not have enough battery power to run usb.So i try charge the **** thing on my ac charger the thing locked up and makes a high pitch buzz.I think its gone.

Any ideas how much its worth or any to fix it?

Could be a battery issue. Send it to Apple (or take it to your nearest Apple store) and see what they can do.
