my ibook g4 gets stuck

my ibook g4 gets stuck on the apples startup screen and doesn't move after that any reason way and if possible could any one be able to help me with a solution to fixs this problem please

Can you boot off the OS X install CD?

May but I don't have the cd at this time could there be any other way I would be able to do it my self

Well, you'd need a OS X install CD, that's a gimme, or you can get to a working computer, download a Linux install CD image, and install that on your machine until you can get a working copy of OS X.

That's just it I can't go in to it. it freezes at the apple startscreen

You don't have another working machine you can use to make a Linux live or install CD? Then how are you posting these replies?

Ah, gotcha, my bad.

Do you have any friends with a CD burner who would let you borrow their computer to burn a CD, or would do it for you? Or, since you live in NYC and don't have an OS X install CD, could you take your computer to the Apple Store and let them fix it, or go there and buy a copy of OS X?
