MacBook Problems

I bought a 13.3 inch white MacBook almost three years ago and a few weeks ago, it decided to stop booting and gave me the flashing folder. I ordered a new hard drive, replaced it, and used a Tiger CD I ordered from Apple to fix it up. Nothing worked. Holding down C, Option, Command all resulted in the flashing folder. I even took the drive out to force it to try and boot from the CD. Nothing works. Am I completely screwed?

Actually holding down Option gets me to the boot choice page... with not choices listed at all. So basically a cursor.

To boot into the installation disc, you need to hold down the C key just when you power on your Macbook.

Failing that, if you haven't done so already, try resetting the PRAM and try booting into the disc again.
