Macbook power settings in Australia?

I'm going to australia for 4 months and I'm about to buy a macbook. I know Australia uses 240v... will the adapter that the macbook uses automatically convert the voltage or do i have to get a convertor?

I don't know Macs that well but I'm guessing that you'd need a converter, same as a PC.

Direland is right. With any PC that runs on 120V you will need a converter to run it anywhere over seas. Espically if you buy it in the USA.

Yea a converter is what you need, If your buying in the usa to use is in austrailia you will need to get a step down adapter if that term is the same where you are.
