Mac + Outlook Problem

My work outsourced our Exchange server. Once email is read, it is stored locally on a .pst folder.

One of our users reported that her entire email data is lost. This problem happened before, and still persisted even after we assigned her a new Mac...

My temp solution was to just have the data stored on the Exchange server which I have noted, is outsourced and the company that runs our exchange server, charges for storage space..

I really need to find out the cause for this problem so I can bring the data back, and have it stored locally.

***The primary cause I can think of is that she logs on to her MAC using someone else's account, but I am not so sure, as IÂ’m not very familiar with MAC systems...

So, once e-mail is read, it is stored locally on a .pst folder, and this applies to Windows machines?

If so, that could be the problem. It is not set up to do this on the Mac, I get the feeling, and that is where the problem lies.

Well its not stored literally in a .pst file, just in the MAC version of the .pst file. We have an identicle set up on another MAC system and that person dosent not have the same problem.
