So now I'm unfortunately responsible for administering open directory on a Mac OS X Server after the last mac admin left and didnt leave ANY detail at all on the docs that I actually can't even find.

How do I join the clients to the open directory.
I know active directory for windows but this open directory crap makes no sense to me, I go to sys prefs and click on network, but theres nothing about joining domains or open directory or ldap or openldap or anything, can anyone provide me with some VERY detailed instructions on how to join these clients to the server?
ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated.
