Lock Screen

So I am fairly new to the Mac world, been a long time MS user. I was wondering if is possible to lock the screen similar to Windows? I can 't seem to find a way to do that.

There is no lock screen as such for Mac.

Actually their is a way.

In the upper right hand corner of the screen, to the left of spotlight search (the little magnifying glass) you should see your account name, if you click on that you have the option to go to the login window.

That'll only be there if you've enabled the fast user switching menu (from System Preferences > Accounts > Login Options)
