itouch being stupid

Okay. Usual day..use the itouch. Later that day it dies so I go to charge it. Charges okay fine for about an hour then it shows the itunes logo thing that shows when you first gets it...itunes is showing some error about it has an error with the iphone, even though it's a touch. Can't turn on the itouch anymore because it just shows the itunes thing. Go through troubleshooting, nothing helped..updated itunes to 8.1 (latest version), but it still doesn't work.

Any suggestions? It was working fine till I went to charge it like I usually do then it just bricked out on me

Hold the power and the option button to reset it to default takes about 30 / 50 seconds depending on the device.

okay so resetting it then reconnecting it to itunes should solve this? I hope so lol

It just turns it back to factory default an it's the only fix available mate once the touch sensor goes wonky mate it's hard to get anything done.

it goes off, comes back on, then shows the connect to itunes thing..and does nothing when you connect it to the computer

Are you pressing an holding both at the same time?

yea, it resets...apple logo blah blah.

says "ipod is detected but can not be identified properly"

OK still under warranty? if so take it back to the store as it sounds more faulty than I thought better to let them deal with it.
