I know the article says that Israeli security shot the computer because they thought it was a security risk but I happen to know it is because it was a Mac.

WTH? Sorry but this is just farceical!
a) Unless you hit the detonation rig in a bomb made from modern explosives you wont disarm it or blow it up.
b) Modern explosives are DESIGNED to be neutral shooting it wont destabilised to the point they will explode unless you use a HIGH velocity explosive to set it off (Detonators are designed like they are for a reason).
c) you can't get enough explosives behind a functional laptop's screen to to cause any significant damage along with some form of detonator.
d) Laptop batteries on a full charge can possible contain the same amount of energy of a handgrenade get one of them to drasticly fail and you MIGHT have a point.
e) They can wave a detector wand over the laptop and see if there is any traces of explosives before going nuts and opening up on it with a handgun.
