iphone 4 screen freezes

ive got the iphone 4 and i dont know how long its been doing it but since i can remember like when i go into the messages homescreen aka text messages you know the top of the page its got the search field and below its got all the converstaions of people you sent a text to well lets say i open a text to john smith and it reveals the keyboard to type a text and i send the text and i go back to the messages home screen, the search field or box seems to be stuck in the middle and i cant scroll up or down or go into a text so the only way to do it is by hitting the back button, has anyone else found this?

well ive done what apple said ie a hard reset aswell as a full restore and still it happens, so ive booked an igenius appointment and see what they do,
