High-definition video add-on coming to iPod

Am I missing something here? It has its own battery, its own video decoder, its own screen, why does it need the iPod? Why don't they just sell it by it self and stick a harddrive in it?

iPod is one of the biggest markets right now, so for other companies, thats where they can make their money. Even toy companies are getting into the game.
(cause apparently, every 5 year old just HAS to have a 60gb iPod )
