I made an Imovie project and exported in .mov format.

When I try to open it in quicktime, it says,

Couldn't open the file "render8.mov" because there was an input/output error.

Its odd, because I didn't have a problem plaing the file on a mac, but I had this problem on two pcs i used.

please help!!!

thanks

What version of QuickTime are you using? You may need to either update or repair your QuickTime software. Or try exporting again.

"I've Been TiShOt -in- the- TiShIt!!..."

What you need is a newer version of QuickTime, or just get QuickTime Pro. I heard that iMovie required QuickTime PRO.

You might also want to try resaving the project if you can. The .mov file might have gotten corrupted somehow.

yeah

The file is corrupted.

when I try to upen with quicktime 7, i get the same error

When I use Windows Media Player, I get "The disk stricture is corrupted and unreadable."

When I try to copy it to the desktop it tells me the file is corrupted...

I saved my movie to a DVD-RW disk.
Should I be able to re-save my project, or is the problem with the disk itself?

"ForMAT..."

You need to render it again... It could also be a problem with the disk you're rendering to.

Ok. The disks I'm using are "RW" but I can't figure out how to write over them on this mac. Any ideas?
