If your 4g touch is running 5.1.1 I don't recommend upgrading. iOS 6 is extremely slow on the 4g touch. Multitasking on it lags it out like crazy. If you have a 4g touch, stick with 5.1.1.

I can second that. iOS 6 doesn't mix well with 4th gen devices.

iOS 6 is good. But only good. Personally I'm an Android user for about 3 years now; after 4 years of iOS fanaticism... Really, iOS 6 is bland. Icons and a home button. Simple as that. It's fool-proof. And that's exactly what Apple was aiming for; now they're discovering people are smart enough to Jailbreak, meaning they have to be smart enough to use a slightly more complex OS. Hence all the switchers to Android. Team Android FTW!

I will say though that since Scott Forstall left Apple (or got fired, rather), I believe some drastic changes will be coming in the near future. Jony Ive I'm sure has some great stuff planned for the future.
