Flash Drive to Itunes

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but it is Apple related I suppose. Anyway, I had to restore to factory settings so I back up my Itunes music on a flash drive. I put the music from the flash drive into the Itunes Music folder but if I unplug the flash drive it says that it cannot locate the song. Is there any way to fix this so that I do not have to have my flash drive plugged in to play the music?
