OK so this problem was fixed, but I'm curious if you can tell me what went wrong.

So it all started when I was on my desktop of my school laptop. I had a bunch of pictures from a recent project on the desktop, and I wanted to clean it up, and trash the pictures. However it wouldn't let me trash them. It wouldn't let me move them either or put anything on the desktop. Basically I couldn't do anything with the desktop. Since it's a school computer I got them to try to bacheMod the permissions (because I'm not an administrator of the laptop) and see if that was the problem. We ended up having to copy all of my stuff (and sync some of it to the school network) then delete my entire account. Our best guess was that a file in my library corrupted it, but we are not sure.

What's your best guess at what went wrong? I might have left some important details out so ask me questions if need be.
