Converting to MAC ~ YIKES!

Hardware is the same as a PC ever since Mac switched to Intel-based CPU's =\.

The only difference is the chassis and externals (screen/keyboard/trackpad). All internals are the same as far as what you could find in a normal PC.

Only thing I like about Macbooks are the trackpads and the charger ports. Sad that Apple will sue the crap out of any company that would try the imitate their charger ports, because IMO it'd be much better for all laptops to have the magnetic quick-disconnect port.

"Hardware" to me in this context means exactly what I bolded above. T

he full package and how it's put together is what makes it what I consider the best. I'm having growing pains with the transfer - if/when I ever give up on the Mac OS I'd probably just bootcamp windows onto my current rMBP hardware as I love it. I considered a lot of PC based options before going with a Mac - I still prefer Windows as an OS but that's slowly starting to change the more I use my Mac.

I agree that it's a sad state of affairs that Apple would sue any charger imitators as it's a GREAT feature.
