Broken Thumbnail Images

So...I recently bought a new mac- and I don't know if it is my internet connection or my computer, but when I go to websites to view many thumbnails at once (myspace, facebook, model mayhem) i can't see them. They come up as broken thumbnails. I have also been having trouble with larger images and advertisements as well- saying the page cannot be found. This is happening quite frequently- I have to keep refreshing some pages sometimes too. Anyone know what's going on with either problem? Thanks!

Update Browser to latest Version, Find all related plugins and update.

Yep click on the apple in the top left corner and select update software from the drop down menu. download and install everything it wants you to.
