Hello all. I use a G4 laptop I bought in 2005 in my band. It runs pro-tools and as the drummer I use it for click track and background sounds, intro's extro's etc... I have not updated anything on it. All I have done is used Pro-tools LE to make sets for the band to play to. I have had no issues with the system, it is very stable. My question is this. As of now I use a WD mybook to backup the system. Since the software included won't run on the OS version I have, I manually select everything in the Hard Drive Icon and copy it over. But in the case of a major hardware malfunction, it would be a pain to recover. Is there a program for Mac's like Acronis True Image, where I could just take an image of the drive and reinstall the image if anything happens? My next step would be to go into an apple store and ask. I know Leopard has a built in Time Machine thing but this is not running Leopard. Thank you for any help you can provide.
