Would anyone suggest getting AppleCare if I get a 14 inch iBook?

YES!!!! you need to trust everyone here. i have mine and im happy my ibook broke broke like 3 times for the same part.Which would have cost me about 300 just to fix. So yea its worth the money you will be happy, if something was to happen to your Mac .

I didn't buy it, but I'm very good with my equipment. I've had my powerbook for a year now with nothing going wrong.

It does leave me on edge though knowing that if something breaks I have to play for it completely.

I've had my iBook G4 for over a year, and the worst thing thats happened is that I've lost my feet. I don't have AppleCare, but its up to you if you think you should get it or not.
