Apple Releases Security Update

Apple released a security update that addresses a dozen or so problems as well as the critical Domain Name System flaw.

The DNS flaw, which was first reported by Dan Kaminsky of IOActive on July 8, could allow attackers to redirect Web site visitors to any site they choose and present forged information. The DNS translates the common name of a Web site into its numerical IP address, and is therefore a fundamental component to the Internet.

Sorry to say but about time. Windows and Linux had theirs patched already. Apple was the last one.

because it just works...and doesn't suffer from any viruses...or virii :D

i'm really surprised this DNS thing, which affected all other platforms affected the Apple platform as well...perhaps it does mean that ALL software is vulnerable? hmmm

I must ponder the cosmos on that high probability ;)
