We just got this G4 in shop. The customer was referred to us from Apple. The LCD has permanent "white spots" or ghosting on the screen. I almost think its been designed too tight and the screen is pushing against the keyboard when it's closed.

Apple offers no fix and no possible cause either.. Infact, the warranty on recall repair for this issue just ended, im gonna have to charge this guy for the fix. He should have read that before coming in, but im more curious as to what youall might think is causing the problem.

Thanks,
RJ

It could be a number of things, screen burn-in, keyboards pushing causing surface damage, patches of dead or stuck pixels.

There's nothing you can do to fix any of those, but check out www.ifixit.com

We're just ordering a new LCD. That's all we know to do. Im just curious as to what is causing it in the first place. We don't like recalls here.

Nice link, thanks.
