Apple mac safari

Hi,
Can anyone help, i am using a Mac and Safari, on Ebay there is no Drop Down Bar for the Description Page, I have to just type it in , in plain black type, if I then went to revise, it, it turns into jumbled jarrgon,
okay with a download from FireFox, but I would prefer to use Safari, I am, not very good with computors, so if anyone can help, can you speak in simple terms , Thank you,
