i have been preparing for this for a couple of years now in conjunction with my current certifications. i don't think that i'll be ready for that class/lab for another year or two. i have a couple other interests in mind before the ccie (like ccip and ccdp). it's a really big deal! and i'm the type of person that doesn't like to fail an exam. i want to take my time and be sure to pass the first time. i learned that lesson years ago when i took my hardware A+ exam. i failed the first time around thinking that it was so easy. granted, i failed by only 2 points, but that was a couple of points that costed me an extra $100. the ccie is rughly $1500! ever since then though, i haven't failed another exam.....don't plan to either
there is a huge waiting list to take this exam and it's pretty expensive. i would love to bounce ideas back and forth with ya. what other certifications do you currently hold?

What is ccnp and and ccie like? My school is doing a ccna course as one of the options in 6th form. I'm only 14 so i got a year and a half til 6th form, but I plan on taking this course then, and after taking ccnp at a uni.

How long is the ccnp and ccie courses?
