Default Re: XP/Vista Network Problem

Right, I did that and now on XP under "Network Places" there are a few more folders from the Vista machine I can see, and under "Workgroup Computers" I can see both machines.

However, on Vista the "odd" machine has returned and I still cannot see the XP machine.

EDIT: Further Info - I have no firewalls running, including the Windows Firewall, except for the one in my router. Could that have something to do with the problems?

Hello,

No i do not believe that to be the issue. As i can see and use my XP machine from Vista and vice versa with the firewalls off.

Teach XP and Vista to play nice on networks

Maybe that article can provide some more info.

Cheers,
Mak

Excellent Mak, started from scratch and followed the instructions to the letter and it works like a charm.

Thanks very much, Kudos!
