XP PRO PC AND 2000 PRO PC...Cant access computers for sharing..

I have a Xp pro computer and a 2000 pro computer. Both are on a network with the same workgroup name and can both share the internet. But now i want to share files with both computers. When i try to access the computers from my network places on both computers, it says access permission denied blah blah.. how can this be fixed... ???

add the same user with the same password on both pcs

The everyone group should be in the permissions for both of these folders... How are trying to access these folders ?
Do you have simple file sharing enabled on the xp pro machine ?

how do i add everyone group to the folders... if only it comes up with a sharing name and now access options??
