xbox to computer

Hey. ok ive just linked my xbox to my computer using an xbox system link cable, it recognises there's a LAN connection but its status says "Limited or no connectivity". I clicked on Repair and all it said was that Windows couldn't complete repairing the problem because it couldn't complete Renewing the IP Address.

Any ideas what i need to do in order to get an internet connection to my xbox. I have a wireless net connection to the computer in question.

You have a wireless connection to your xbox from your router?

I think he saying he has a a wireless conection to his pc, and wants to conect his xbox to the internet from the pc. In which case you are using internet conection sharing.

the xbox's ip is: 10.0.0.1

you want to run that internet conection sharing thing. And tell your firewalls to trust the xbox.
