wow a DDoS attack on me...I think help plz

Last night I started getting really bad latency and high % of packet loss...I check my security log and I've got tons of blocked DoS attacks in my FireWall log...its been going on nonstop since 4am last night.

The log only fits 45 entries but here's a compilation of it as of 2:45pm

Does anyone know what the **** I can do to stop this? I've tried everything including cloning the MAC Address on my router so I pull a different IP. Nothing seems to be working and its really putting a crimp in my gaming

Any help would be appreciated....

Not quite sure, but can you provide more information about your network, like what's the brand and model of the router, what firewall application you use, the type of Internet connection you use, operating system.

I'm using a Belkin wireless router...I have a cable connection and I use Windows XP Pro. The firewall I use is the one built into the router

Call your ISP? A DoS attack is illegal and they would deal with it.

About the DoS, you need to know the IP address and where it is coming from. It could be your ISP trying to do something and the router is reporting that it's a malicious attempt when it could be something simple like a DHCP broadcast, or it can be some other service like a game server trying to ping to see if you're still active before they boot you out.

It could be the router fault that it's being DoS because of a bad firmware or a bad setup, which eventually leads to it's own fault, reporting bull**** activity for no reason and causing itself the denial of service.

See if you can update the firmware or disable this feature.
