Ok I have a wirless G PCI adapter card and its hooked up to a lynkis router...

Im having a rather annoying problem.

My Internet card can pick up my connection and my neighbors.

here is the catch, they are both the same speed (11 mbps)

but its like my wirless cant decide wich internet to go to. It connects to mine, but when I try to connect to the internet it says server not found, although it says connected. So I try My neighbors, bam im right on with out a problem.. No matter how many times I try to repair my connection it still never works and Im forced to go to my neighbos:confused:

Any ideas?

Re:

Hello,

Seems like your router isn't configured properly to connect to the Internet.

Do you have a spare ethernet cable and an ethernet NIC on your PC? Hook the PC straight to the PC and see if you can connect to the internet (assuming your router has switch ports on the back).

You need to move your wireless network up one level above your neighbor.

Control Panel>Network Connection>Right click on your Wireless NIC and select Properties. Go to the Wireless Networks tab, below is a listing of "Prefered Networks". Move your network to the top.

Now double click on your neighbor network and go to connection tab. Uncheck "Connect when this network is in range"
