Wireless to wireless

Hi
I jsut got my labtop today with a wireless network card and well i dont have a wireless router/ hub and im not looking to buy one also. SO i was wondering if there was a way i could buy a network card for my destop and have that send a signal out to the labtop i mean is there anything that can happen?

you can put the two pcs on the same network with two wireless adapters. You'll want to set the cards to adhoc mode for a peer to peer network. Set each pc with different ip addresses on the same network, exmaple 192.168.0.1 & 192.168.0.2. You may have to set both wireless cards with the same SSID & channel.

Also remember to disable your firewalls, and configure sharing..
