wireless strength. WTF

i could get excellent-very good strength up until today. my computer has a D Link 108G wireless card and the router(D Link DI-624) sits 8 feet away through a normal house wall.

i just put the side of my case on my computer (i had it off to see if i noticed a cooling difference) and now i get low to very low signal strength. i tested the reverse of this a few times and i get the same results. i switched card slots and its still the same

well its probably the heat that causing it
i noticed that with my DLINK wireless USB ADAPTER
i got myself a fan and blew at it
then i got normal speed

heres my simple advice
Try shutting down your computer and turn it on in 10 MINUTES

hmm, i think it might be heat related, i'll try gettin a fan on it asap. thanks a lot
