is there any software available other than in windows xp that will manage your wireless card?

depends on the wireless card, normally if the card is one that you install yourself, you should get a disc with the drivers and a wireless manager.

Now if it is a laptop, they expect you to use the windows one. But if you know who made your laptop like Compaq or someone, you shoud be able to goto their website and after surfing around on it, you should be able to find an application that will help you manage your wireless connections.

my wireless card is a linksys, and it does include software, but both windows and linksys software is crappy.

lol, well far as i know you cant do that. Just buy a d-link or something then lol.

the next thing i am doing is getting ethernet running through the router to my PC, because wireless is so crappy!
