Wireless Security Modes

I have a linksys WRT54G router. I have already set it up with WPA pre-shared key but I was looking at the other security options and I noticed something called WPA radius and just radius. I would like to know what radius is, the difference between WPA radius and just radius, and if it is better than WPA pre-shared key.
