I finaly ordered verizon dsl and it came with a Westell VersaLink wireless router Model 327w, would a wireless Network card from like 15-25 feet in a straigth line threw walls slow down my connection speed? and my computer is upstairs and the router is downstars. Or would a 50 foot ethernet cord be better?

E Cable is always better but the wireless should work with no problem. That's not that far away.

I agree. Assuming that's a 802.11g (54 Mbps) WAP in that router, you should be fine at that distance. If your walls are lined with lead or something you might have a problem. (That's a joke, btw.)

i would allow yourself either option.
if you need to transfer files and stuff like that acrost the network for whatever reason, you'll want that cable... wireless would be much slower.
however for browsing the internet and everyday use... you'll be just fine with the wireless
