wireless router advise

trying to figure out which wireless router best suits my needs. I bought the buffalo draft-n and installed it. wireless to the desktop works great but cant connect to it wirelessly. it keeps saying need to install manual. There is no manual to istall, the manual is just a read me.

I got a wifi a,b,g laptop, and want it to run great anywhere in a 2 story house.

I bought another wireless router net gear rangemax mimo, because i thought I might get better range.

any advise, i'm a compulsive spender...

What OS Are you running? There might be a problem of secure mode or un secure mode as well.
