At home i have a Billion wireless router wirelessly networked to my laptop. I've noticed recently that whenever someone was on the phone everything net related would lag. So i presumed it was using something to do with the phone line. but it never happened before we got the Uniden wireless phone + base.

So i took the wireless handset and rang my mobile and tried to ping my router. Nothing...

I hung up and tried again and it came back 1ms.

So obviously the phone is effecting the wireless network. Has anyone had this problem and anyone got an idea how i can fix it. Using the base to call my mobile doesen't effect it.

So you have xDSL? With a wireless router connected to the xDSL modem? What's the specification of the router, is it 802.11b/g? What frequency does the Uniden phone say it works at?

One solution, buy a different one that doesnÂ’t operate in the same frequency as your wireless router, or move it further away.

xDSL: not sure what u mean, i'm on ADSL2
the router is the modem
B/G: the faster newer one, forgot which one it was
frequency: 2.4GhZ digital

wireless g networks run a 2.4 ghz there is the inteference get a cheap 900mhz phone or an expensive 5.4 ghz phone.
