I'm currently checking Newegg on buying a network adapter so I can connect my desktop to my wireless router.

Problem is, I have no idea which to get.

USB or PCI?
With antenna or not?
How much to spend? (The cheaper in cost the better for me)

I am on Windows XP. My router is a comtrend wireless ADSL2+ CT-5361T. Will any network adapter be compatible with my router? Because I see a lot of the adapters say wireless 'G'.

Would something like these two do the trick? I know I'll get what I pay for, but the desktop will only be used for surfing the web and the occasional download.

Both of those look fine. If you going to keep the wireless card in the computer and not take it out frequently, I would go with the PCI Card.. If you want to have wireless on the desktop, but still have the ability to move the wireless card around from computer to computer.. get the USB one. As for speed, it all depends on your ISP's speed that you have and how close of range the router is to your computer and other factors.

agreed on all accounts with cyclones,

and as an added point, as long as the adapters are wireless G they'll work with your router.

Forgot to reply to this earlier. I ended up getting the PCI one and installed just fine. The speed of the wireless is only ~1mb slower than when wired so not too bad.
