I have a wired internet router hooked up to an xbox and a computer on the first floor of my house and i want to hook up internet to the upstairs computer. I cannot run an ethernet cable to the upstairs. I need to keep using the wired router I have which is a Microsoft MN-100. Is there a way to get wireless internet to the upstairs computer? Can I hook up some kind of wireless internet router to the existing wired router?

Any of these will work:

I like Linksys because its made by Cisco, and is very good quality for home use.

Make sure your wireless card matches the router you buy (B or G).
"Wireless B" will give you a longer range, while "Wireless G" will give you higher speeds.

Use a cross-over cable to connect a LAN port on your MN-100 to a LAN port on your wireless router.

Then connect the wireless PC to the wireless router the way you normally would

Everything should work.
