i need help setting up a connection to my ps3 using an AT&T wireless router, when ever i test the signal using the ps3 it always times out and fails searching for the ip address, but everything else seems to be working.

sorry about that, the solution to my problem was easy, all i had to do was get the encryption code off of the bottom of the att router it is right under the SN # , thats the default security code, then i went in the ps3 connection found the router and selected WEP security, thats where i put the code, after that all i done was select the the automatic option for the internet settings, and it connected perfectly. But if you have created your on security code when setting up the router to your computer, thats what should be used instead of the encryption code.
